She notes that much of the problem lies in America's school buildings which were designed to last only 20 to 30 years. The Federal Government estimates that approximately 25,000 or 1/3 of all schools now need extensive repair & or replacement. This only looks at the serious problems relating to lead, asbestos, radon, underground storage tanks, plumbing, sewage, termites, ventilation and structural problems. They do not even consider the additional and at times, more significant role of dust, molds, chemicals, foods, and germs.

We live in a chemical soup nowadays, and if you are sensitive you can tell the difference when you sit down. Since most of our pollutants are heavier than air, they get stronger as we get closer to the floor. .right where the children are playing.
