ANTIBIOTICS The reason you need a prescription for a DRUG is that
DRUGS are DANGEROUS, and ! HERBS are DRUGS without a prescription. Unless you have a life-threatening emergency, I suggest that you at least consider your alternatives. I was talking to my chiropractor this morning and she related how when it was discovered that she had an infection in her uterus, the Doctor wanted to put her on a low dosage "LIFETIME" antibiotic .. that means for the rest of her life! My friend asked if the doctor was joking. When she discovered that the lady doctor was serious, my friend got up and walked out. Two days on cranberry juice and she has not had a problem since. When doctors don't know what to do they often give a nonspecific, broad spectrum antibiotic. This increases your chances of developing a Candida infection. Physicians all too readily prescribe antibiotics for viral infections, which they won't kill, and patients demand that their doctor prescribe SOMETHING for their colds and runny noses. Over half of these prescriptions are inappropriately prescribed or otherwise misused, according to estimates.
Doctors often justify the dispensing of the medications by saying that they are cheaper than tests, and if they don't (do something) prescribe something, their patient will find someone who will. Dr. Bruce West (1) {4/97}says that the most flagrant abuses of these drugs comes in the form of: This practice has produced more and more strains of stronger and stronger bacteria. There are mutations out there right now that nothing but a hot flame will kill. Our research Scientists are doing it to our food supply too.
Not only do antibiotics create invulnerable super germs, they are thought to create or contribute to more immediate health problems. These drugs kill all bacteria in the body, even the friendly bacteria living in your intestinal tract. Then you hope the good guys can regenerate themselves faster than the bad guys. But with the good guys gone, other bacteria, including yeasts and molds are able to take over. At the very least that makes vaginal yeast infections much more likely. In addition, antibiotics are thought to contribute to gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, candidiasis, hormonal problems, psoriasis, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, immune-system weakness, and even Multiple Sclerosis. What a stress is caused to the body by taking these poisons. This is why so many people get sick in hospitals, most of their vital energy goes to try and keep them alive while their body fights to get rid of the poisons being administered by their compassionate healer. Meanwhile, their protective barriers are destroyed, and they are then wide open for the horrid germs that live in those hospitals.
25 years ago a Glasgow hospital decided that antibiotics were the cause of its cross infection problems, and discontinued both Crown's and theratherapeuticbiotic therapy! What happened? Well first there was an immediate decrease in chest and urinary cross infections and in a month there were no more. Remarkably all infection rates were reduced; Respiratory from 45% to 15%, and Urinary from 21% to 8%. The hospital had NO SERIOUS PROBLEMS related to discontinuing antibiotics. The conclusion of the entire staff there was that the primary cause of many infections most often attributed to germs or other causes is, in fact, the misuse or overuse of broad-spectrum antibiotics. They are convinced that many infections resolve themselves in spite of, - rather than because of - antibiotic therapy. Now all this happened 25 years ago. It should have changed the thinking of every DOCTOR, every HOSPITAL in the world. One day I will set down my theory as to why things like this happen everywhere. (hint:$) If you must visit a hospital, wash your hands and face as soon as possible. If you have to be admitted to a hospital, make sure everyone who touches you has washed their hands (in your sink, so you can see them do it). Just because they are really nice caring people who have given you great service, doesn't mean that they are not under great staff pressure to handle more patients than is safe. If they are rushed and didn't wash, they could be carrying infection on their finger tips. Who knows who they just lifted into bed? Whose bedpan they just emptied. Blame it on ME, but let them know that you expect them to wash before touching you. They WILL understand; even if they do wash they can still infect you, but the chances are a whole lot less with clean hands.
