                EXERCISE

Louis Herber, in "Our Synthetic Environment, warns:

We are exchanging health for mere survival. We have begun to measure man's biological achievements, not in terms of his ability to lead a vigorous, physically untroubled life, but in terms of his ability to preserve his mere existence in an increasingly distorted environment. Today , survival often entails ill health and rapid physical degeneration. We are prepared to accept the fact that a relatively young individual will suffer from frequent headaches and digestive disturbances, continual nervous tension, insomnia, a persistent "cigarette cough", a mouthful of decaying teeth, and respiratory ailments every winter. We expect his physique to acquire the rotundity of a barrel shortly after the onset of middle age; we find nothing extraordinary in the fact that he is incapable of running more than a few yards without suffering loss of breath, or walking a few miles without suffering exhaustion.

If that description, in any part fits you, then you are in the right place: (looking for answers). The benefits of exercise cannot be stressed too highly. Get REGULAR moderate aerobic exercise. Exercise gives your immune system a definite boost as well as a host of other benefits. Do some kind of aerobic exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Be careful however not to get too much of a good thing. Over-exercising can weaken your immune system and overburdens your body with free radicals. Unless your menu includes lots ofEnzyme rich foods, you are asking for trouble. This means fresh uncooked raw fruits and vegetables. If you are unable or unwilling to eat large quantities of raw fresh fruits and vegetables, then I suggest you call me at 303-579-2084: there is an alternative.

We were designed to be out in the fields, not behind a desk. If you do exercise on a regular basis your fitness will improve, you will look and feel better, you might lose some weight, and you will be able to enjoy your friends and family longer. See AGEING.
