APPETITE: It's really very simple: Stimulate your adrenal glands. You already knew that, , , ,but perhaps did not look at it this way: You have only a finite amount of energy in your body, which has to be allocated by Innate Intelligence (ie. Mother Nature). Your body's innate intelligence has 4 major allocation priorities: 1. SURVIVAL 2. NUTRITION 3. PROCESSES including walking, talking, thinking, detoxification, rebuilding muscles, etc. 4. GROWTH So obviously if your SURVIVAL is threatened, those lessor functions (2,3 &4) are put on hold. Thus if you have a Headache and put poison in your stomach, survival takes over and Voila! your headache is gone. ( You didn't know that was a way to cure a Headache?), oh my! But you want to know how to SUPPRESS your appetite right? OK! Partial list of stimulants that do the same thing as the poison above: Alcohol Tobacco: (note how people gain weight when they stop smoking! Caffeine when someone found caffeine as dangerous as nicotine the study was suppressed. Sugar Drugs Herbs Meat..tell me that didn't suppress your appetite! So how do I suppress my voracious appetite? How did I, an unrepentant raisin oatmeal cookie monster, go from 225 pounds to my present weight which is something under 190 pounds?. How does a person who has been on a "see food" diet all his life with an admitted eating addiction suddenly start losing weight, feeling better, more energy, require less sleep & start looking younger to people who haven't seen me in a while? . Well! There is thing in the back of your head called the appestat. It measures the nutrients in your blood and if you are lacking something, it says "EAT!" So you have a Twinky and when nothing happens, the "EAT" signal continues until you finally ingest something needed, useful, or so filling you can't eat any more. Sound Familiar? If you would only eat more raw fruit and vegetables from which you could get the nutrients you need, your "Eat" signal would not flash so often. There are ways to gradually change your old bad habits into good ones.
