Cholesterol

Major CAUSES:

SUGAR-RED/MEAT-CAFFEINE-ALCOHOL

DON'T believe your meat eating, drug pushing doctors or friends.

"Saturated fat and cholesterol in the diet are NOT the cause of coronary heart disease. That myth is the greatest scientific deception of this century, perhaps of any century" George V. Mann, M.D.

The use of drugs to reduce cholesterol levels have already been shown to cause:
A 700 percent increase in colon cancers in men.
A 12-fold increase increase in breast cancer in female rats (cholestyramine).
A 45% increase in gall stones and required perilous gall bladder surgery.
A 145% increase in gastritis.
A 175% increase in appendicitis (cholestyramine).
An increase in heart and circulation deaths, rather than the expected decrease, with twice as many heart attacks.
Internal bleeding, severe constipation, agonizing muscle pains (colestipol and other drugs).
Liver disease and ulcers of stomach and intestines (niacin).
Anemia, taste and smell disturbances, vision difficulties (probucol).
Dizziness, a lowering of the white cell count, (decreased immunity), and a host of skin afflictions (gemfibrozil and
most of the other drugs)
Angina, heart rythem abnormalities, phlebitis and cancer - in a 5,000 patient study, there was a 36 % increase in deaths due to cancer.

And as if that is not enough, there are studies in the US and Europe that show low cholesterol levels are also associated with an increased incidence of impulsive homicidal and suicidal behavior as well as other antisocial acts irresponsibility and poor self control. A study of jail inmates rated dangerousness: the lower the blood cholesterol the greater the threat of violence.

Despite the propaganda that saturated fat is harmfull, significant increases or decreases in dietary saturated fats have little practical influence on your blood cholesterol levels. Cathey and Edward R. Pickney, M.D.

There is a serious difference between health and stimulation, but it only shows up when you are older and start to realize the value of life.

Most people live to eat. The wiser among us eat to live.

Scientists say that we should live for 100 to 120 years. Several races of man still do. (See AGE). For every year you live in stimulation, your timekeeper will subtract 2 to 3 years from your allotted span.

which fruits and vegetables will help me lower my cholesterol?

nutrition expert Sharon Howard

Q: Which fruits and vegetables will best help me lower my bad cholesterol and raise the good?

A: You just can't go wrong with vegetables and fruits. They not only have no saturated fat or cholesterol, but also provide soluble and insoluble fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals that protect against heart disease. Though no specific foods will raise good cholesterol, or HDL, exercise will. Your bad cholesterol, or LDL, can be reduced with a diet that is low in saturated fat and high in fiber.

Oranges, grapefruit, pears, strawberries, okra, legumes, carrots, peas and oats are high in soluble fiber, which has been shown to lower cholesterol.

Spinach, broccoli, cabbage and other green leafy vegetables offer antioxidants that lower your risk of heart disease, but not necessarily your LDL.

Sweet potatoes, potatoes, tomatoes, cantaloupes, watermelon and peaches are high in beta-carotene and other protective phytochemicals.

Be sure to eat your five to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. (Further research indicates it's closer to 20 servings per day)
