Breakfast

The most important meal of the day

I get 20 to 50 E-Mails each day from people commenting on this web site. Most of them are positives, thanking me for getting out information that is not generally known, many are health questions asking about this DIET or that NEW concept that Dr. X has just published. The common theme is: "There are so many products, and so many plans out there; How do I tell what is right for me? If you have not already done so, please go to MISSION STATEMENT and follow the numbers. This is my concept of a forward for this 750+ subject web site, and you will note that I stress that YOU have to take the responsibility to decide what is in your best interest. I am a student of Dr. Joel Robbins, of the College of Natural Health, and something he just wrote fits here, so with his permission I will quote it:

"Keep in mind, that just as a man will build or follow a religion around his personal philosophy, so will one's diet evolve around one's personal tastes and desires. Some where in my files (don't ask me to find it) I have a very solid article by a fellow who advocates how wonderfully healthy and beneficial chocolate is.  We can always find someone to tell us whatever we want to hear, and if we can't, and we're not willing to face truth, then we'll become our own authority. (Case in point: Atheists choose to believe there is no God because He interferes --causes guilt--with their lifestyle.)"

So lets look at "The MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY' : Breakfast, the one meal that most people cannot do without.
First please jump to Cycles of the Body, so you can better understand when we were designed to eat and why. Once you understand the 24 hour cycle of your body you may appreciate how the biggest home run you can make for your body is to skip breakfast entirely.

But, but, "They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day"!... and who is "They"? Could it be the milk lobby who hired Madison Avenue advertising agencies to increase their sales? You don't suppose the "Just Milk" ads out there are part of it do you? Please go to MILK for further amusement. No less than Jack Medina, a certified fitness trainer, who has set up programs for thousands of athletes says: "Breakfast sets your metabolic system up for the rest of the day".
I mean you KNOW that if you don't have breakfast, you will die before noon, so Jack and Mike have to be right...right? Well...............no.

So why is it so hard to go without breakfast?

Again to quote Dr. Joel Robbins:
"A large breakfast will "set the tone for the day" in a "positive way" when the body is TOXIC. You see, it is while we are sleeping that the body begins its detoxification. When a toxic body wakes in the AM, the blood is full of toxins on their way out, and they are usually suffering from hypoglycemia--due to a toxic liver. This person does not feel good at all. If he now goes and eats a large meal, he will instantly feel wonderful, and will at least until lunch, when again he will repeat the following process. When this toxic, hypoglycemic body wakes and is forced to do things other than detox, the adrenal glands will kick in to give the person the energy to put the toxins back in the closets, raise the blood sugar level and grant energy, therefore. What stimulates the adrenals?... a full hearty (stimulatory) meal.

Ask this same person to have fruit (non-stimulatory) for breakfast and they will not make it till 9AM because fruit will not stimulate adrenals, raise the blood sugar or stop detoxification. If you evaluate the diet that this fellow is recommending for breakfast (I haven't heard the tape, can only guess), I bet it will not be a healthful menu. This being the case, how could something harmful grant true energy through healthful means?

Now as one becomes cleaner and the liver is able to maintain the proper blood sugar level of its own merit, one can fast, juice or fruit for breakfast and have all the energy they could ever desire."

So in conclusion, search out for yourself what is logical and right in all things. America is the 100th sickest nation on earth. The average American is so sick that almost any multi vitamin, isolated vitamin supplement, or new health fad seems to produce some improvement to their health / symptoms. The funny thing is, if these artificial supplements do something good for you, this proves that you are really sick!

Let me explain that: Most doctors today have seen few healthy people, so they regard average health as NORMAL. Healthy folks don't often go to doctors. If you gave Dr. Robbins or myself one of these health pills we would get NO benefit, we would lose energy, vitamins, and minerals in processing the pills out of our bodies, and some might even make us sick.
