Allergy: A hypersensitivity to a specific substance ( such as food, pollen, dust, drugs etc.) or conditions (as heat or cold) which in similar amounts are harmless to most people. If you have hay fever, try avoiding alcoholic beverages during pollen season. They cause blood vessels in the nose to swell, thus increasing nasal congestion. One conventional approach is to spend a lot of your time and money trying to find that thing or things which cause you problems, but again this is the symptomatic approach: I got a symptom, give me magic pill that will make it go away. Often, allergies are the sign of a weak immune system, and a change to a good diet will make the allergies disappear. One thing to try first is radically increase your water intake. Many allergy sufferers have found that this change alone will make a big difference in their symptoms. See Water. All of this presupposes that you have the ability and the desire to take responsibility for your personal health. Check out FOOD ALLERGIES. For those who can not or will not change their eating habits to RAW fruits and vegetables, there is an alternative. If you have not done so already please go to MISSION STATEMENT, and follow the numbers. It is a forward to this 280 subject nutritional website. When you finish that, it will drop you into the INDEX. and you can check out "Fruits and vegetables, why eat them". The Juice Guy Hank Boschen
